Do you keep all your baby gear for the next one or start over fresh?

10

My husband and I have a 4 year old boy and a 1 year old girl, and are thinking of having another baby someday……maybe. Since we are not sure if we want a 3rd child should we hang on to all that expensive baby gear (which takes up alot of storage space) or start over the next time? What do other people do?

my hubby and are are in the same boat. think we might want another one, but it would be later on down the road. i went through all the clothes and got rid of the ones that i will never put any child into again, but kept everything else.

I’d say keep any stuff that you found very useful, and get rid of anything that was just OK…that way if you do decide to have another, you’ve got the stuff you loved, and can fill in where you need to.

I’m keeping big things like the car seat and the crib but other things like toys and clothes I’m giving away to my sister in law who had her son 8 months after I had mine. It works out perfectly because if I have another baby, it’s all staying in the family so I can just get the stuff back.

I’d hang on to the items. Baby items dont go out of style that quick. Just make sure all the toys and crib, high chair still meet the safety standards.

All that can be very expensive to buy. And with prices going up on everything, you can save alot of money if you keep it till you know for sure.

Im going to hang on to all of my sons stuff. I will part with some outfits.. and maybe some toys… but im going to keep the majority of it… till i know i dont want anymore kids.

    Best of luck

Find a good storage area for the old stuff, why start all over.

We have kept everything (except some boys clothes which we ‘lent’ to next door 4 years ago. Haven’t had them back yet…..)
I don’t see much point in paying for everything twice when we have a nice big attic to keep it all in.

Put it up in the attic. You can’t go wrong with saving it. Even if you don’t use it you can pass it along.

I sorted out which clothes I really liked and ones I didn’t and kept the ones I did and the ones i didn’t I got rid of. And they come in handy.

I am keeping all my stuff. IF i do have another baby then i know i have it. It just depends on you guys really. It does take up alot of space, but somethings, i dont feel i can part with, i think i will keep my little girls clothes until they are stained up or until my kids have kids, or until i die. They mean alot to me, to be able to look at something and have a wonderful memory! I say its up to you though.

I dont plan on keeping it all, just the things i REALLY like! But, then again, i did get TONS of stuff from people. So i really have alot to sort through.
