once a week, or after other kids have played with it.

Whenever you notice they are dirty – once every couple of weeks or so.

I don’t know what’s recommended but I started trying to wash my baby’s stuff at least once a week. It is difficut when they are constantly using it. Really I’d say it depends on how often the baby spits up on it cause otherwise they aren’t really dirty (unless a toy is dropped on the floor in a public place, then I’d wash it right away)

    good luck.

It depends at my house we always have people over so..
i wash toys once a week. but its really easy you can just spray them down with lysol, or even put them in the dish washer.
pack and plays and stuff in the nursery, since it is only us using it, i wash that stuff once every two or three weeks
cloth and stuff i wash with my clothes once a week.

I washed them whenever they got spit up on (so sometimes several times a week) ;) , and definitely after another child played on/in/with any of them.

Otherwise, I’d wipe down the hard surfaces about every other day, and throw the cloth toys, pads, and seats in the washing machine every week or two to protect against dust mites.

When I worked at a daycare center, we would disinfect the hard toys in bleach solution (see the back of your bleach container for diluting instructions for toys) then rinse them and dry them once a week… and the ones we noticed were in children’s mouths, daily. This, of course, isn’t necessary if it’s your own child’s toy in only his or her mouth. But I would clean them once a week. Most hard teethers and such are diswasher safe on the top rack.

As for the pack and play, I bought two sheets for it so I could wash one and use the other. As for the pack and play itself (mesh netting, rails, etc.) I would spray it with Lysol after my child was sick, after another child used it, or before/after it went into/came out of storage.

    Hope this helps! :)

my kids have alot of toys.I try to wipe them down with lysol weekly but it is usually more like twice a month. Exersuacer I wipe down daily if not more because my daughter drools and spits up on it sometimes. Her bouncy seat I wash the fabric once a month. I have never cleaned my pack n play and her play mat I wash weekly or as needed. I do not know what the recommended time line is. Outdoor toys I rinse with the hose weekly and before I put them in my garage for winter I give the ones that I can a bleach bath.

Harder Toys- you should wipe off 1 – 2 times a week with clorox anywhere spray or another brand.

Plush Toys- if machine washable wash once a week or every other depending how much baby plays with.

Just about everything should be washed or wiped down at least every other week.
