Fingers and a baby gear question?
Okay I will explain the fingers thing my son will be 3 months on the 16th of sept which is this month. He sticks his fingers and fist in his mouth all the time and sucks them and drools alot. He isn’t teething like i had thought and I offer him food and he doesn’t want it I offer his pacifier (or dummy which ever you wanna use) and he doesn’t want that either.
Why is he doing this?
Okay baby gear one. You already know his age so anyway he like to stand meaning you hold him up and he stands up when I try to put him in my lap he tries to use his legs. So should I get a exerciser or jumperoo? or wait till he is older can he use either now I am soooo confused personal experiences and everything else is welcomed.

babies have a natural sucking relfex. i had put my son in his jumperoo around 4 months old so i dont think it would be a waste if you got one now. hell be in it soon
It’s okay that he sucks his fist. He’s self pacifying himself which is great and he may eventually find his fingers. It’s great because if he does find his fingers/thumb then you never have to worry about losing a pacifier. Both of my kids suck their thumbs and there’s nothing to worry about. Also, he could be teething. Teething could start many weeks before any teeth will ever show.
All babies like to try to stand which is adorable and normal. Just don’t ever let him support his entire weight on his legs which are still developing. Usually, you don’t use an exerciser or jumperoo until they can fully keep their head up and are closer to sitting up on their own. Just adjust the exerciser or jumperoo to a level so they can kind of bounce or barely touch the floor but don’t have any pressure on their legs until they are older. Sounds like you’re doing a great job mom! If you are in Southern California; I have a Rainforest Jumperoo for sale. LOL!
He’s exploring. He’s sticking his hand in his mouth because its interesting to do. Baby’s do the strangest things. EVERYTHING they do; picking tiny specks from the carpet, putting their feet in their mouth, blowing spit bubbles, picking their nose (and putting that in their mouths too), even when they get older and start telling fibs, is all part of brain developement. Yes, get him a jumperoo, he’ll love it. There used to be an old myth that said if you let a baby stand or use his legs too soon it causes them to be bowlegged. That’s nonsense. He’ll do things at his own pace and there’s nothing to fret about.
My son sucked his fingers also, and sucks his thumb. He might have already developed a preference so I doubt you’ll be able to tear him away from that. He’s just getting to know his body, so let him do his thing.
As for standing, I agree with the above. Don’t put to much strain on his little legs just yet. He shouldn’t be in the jumparoo until he can at least hold his head up or better yet, I would wait until he’s sitting up on his own. I didn’t place my son in his walker or jumper until he was 6 months.
Ryan got his jumperoo for a Christmas present so he was almost 3 months old. I put him in it about 4 months and he loved it, he didn’t jump yet, it took him awhile to figure that out. But he liked being upright and having toys to look at! He wont be able to stay in the jumperoo long being only almost 3 months but he will grow into it! I would say get one when you can, maybe wait a few more weeks!
