We did a post awhile back about the HP A526 and have been loving the convince of being able to print our photos online. We even printed our own birthday invitations and thank you cards with the A526. The only issue has always been that it only prints 4x6 prints and I end up having to send my 5x7 photos out. Its so rare that I print anything larger than a 5x7 but usually if I do its normally for a gift so those I send out for professional printing anyways.
I almost had a heart attack when I heard that the new A536 would print not only the 4x6 photos, but 5x7s, and even 4x12s. (All of which can be printed without a computer except for the 4x12s!)
In comparison the A526 and the A536 are both great home picture printing options, both are totally portable, both offer 4x6 and 4x12 prints.. but there are some major diffrences as well. The A530 is a massive upgrade with the ability to print 5x7 prints as well as having a truely flip up LCD screen instead of a fixed screen. The coolest upgrade is the one that is the least obvious. The A530 has built in internal memory and when you hook it up to any computer it installs its own software. No cd to bring with you.. no reason to download drivers. They are all there right on the printer the moment you hook up the usb cord. That really brings a whole new aspect to the ability to the fact that you really can take you printer everywhere and hook it up to any available computer to edit and print photos. Otherwise the most obvious change you will see is that the A530 is a bit wider and a tiny bit heavier than the A526 but it has to be to print the 5x6s.
You know I have always been a bit skeptical about photo printers. Back when they were first popular it was a neat option but sometimes the colors ran and the print quality was acceptable but still obvious that it was not a photo lab print. These days and especially with the A536 side by side with my professionally printed photos there is absolutely no way to tell with the naked eye which one is the professional print and which one I printed at home. Ironically I just recently had some photos taken at a major photo chain which prints them there while you wait and I took the same photos home on CD and printed out a few extras to give to family and the ones I printed at home were far nicer than the ones I had printed at the photo place itself! I actually ended up giving away my originals and kept the ones I printed for myself.
If your looking for something a little diffrent, you can edit your photos without ever having to hook the A536 to your computer. That even includes adding designer tints or changing your pictures to black and white. I just printed the cutest picture of Connor in his new super hero cape in a metallic overlay and it came out really neat!
The best selling point about the A536? Well thats really simple, though its not available yet for sale when it is its said to be priced at around $99 which is super super cheap for all those options! Talk about a perfect gift for the grandparents!
I am so excited about the A536 that I decided this would be a perfect time to give away our A526 that we tested a few months ago.

The print quality on this looks amazing (4800 x 1200 dpi). I'd print out a ton of pictures of my 3-yr old twins and maybe finally put them in a nice album!
Thanks,
Maureen
Print speed as fast as 27 sec (with border, direct connect). Would use to print photos of my baby boy (no more waiting for online orders in mail -- yeah!)

I like that the 536 is compatible with both Windows and Mac - so it is great for couples with mixed preferences!
If I won the 526, I woud print mostly nature photos - I use them as postcards. Or I would give it to my Mom, who would use it to print family photos.
Hi fellow momblogger! I like the fact that the A536 prints so quickly and that I can use it with my Mac. If I had the A526 I would print more photos of my little one. I have tons of photos on my computer but I haven't done anything with them yet, it might help me jumpstart my scrapbooking!
I love the fact it prints several different sizes of prints and the built in internal memory is awesome!!
This would be one sweet printer to own!
Thank you for the great giveaway!

My favorite feature of the new A536 is the ability to print 5x7's. I scrapbook, so this feature would be great to have!!
Thank you!!
mycreativecontainers(at)yahoo(dot)com
I love the small size and handle!
I like the speed that the A536 has. Printing in 27 seconds...for a photo! That's awesome!
I take pictures of my kids all the time because their Grandpa lives across the country and so that way he can see the kids grow up through photos!
seeryusfam@msn.com
I like all the new various printing sizes of the photos. I would give this to my mom if I won as she is a major baseball fan and would use it to print off pics of her with her favorite players.
I think the price is a great feature--so low--plus it seems pretty fast at printing the photos. I would print a lot of pictures of our animals and try some closeups of my flowers.
farrell@crosslake.net
I love that it has software available for free download! I would love to print pictures of my three kids! Can't have enough of those!
I think the feature I love best is that it prints 5 x 7's, that is so great! I'd probably print vacation photos, and holiday photos the most on it. Thank you so much!
I like that you don't have to be connected to a computer to print! That would be so nice. As for what I would print with it? Everything! I'm terrible about printing out my pictures because I don't have a photo printer! jeepcutie82 at msn dot com
I can't believe the print speed is only 27 sec.
I would print a ton of pics of our 6 month old.

I like that the printer is Energy Star certified. I'd most often print family stuff - family pictures and documents. Thanks! afdr3d@umkc.edu
I like that the A536 is Energy Star Certified! If I won the A526 I would mostly print photos out for my grandmother to send to her. The rest of the family we just email photos and people print what they want, but Grandma doesn't want a computer so we still print out pictures for her.
Extra entry please - I've blogged about you here:
http://robynsonlineworld.blogspot.com/2008/07/great-blog-found-from-giveaways.html
Wow, this seems so much better than all those other photo printers. Besides being able to print different sizes (a definite plus), I also like the fact that you can edit pictures without hooking up to a computer. Especially since Kiddo's grandparents are still happily computer-free and this will help tremendously when we go visit them.
Thanks for yet another fabu giveaway!
I love that it's compact & fast! I would print out all the pictures I need for scrapbooking projects should I win! Thanks for the chance!
Have a great weekend!
Also a subscriber. Thanks!

I love the fact you don't need to have a computer connected to print photos. I could see printing pictures DURING a party. I would print pics of my kids the most (to keep the grandparents happy!)
I like the fact that you can print the photos off right away. Mine stay on my camara for months, because I forget to take it with me to the store!
I would print lots of photos for immediate scrap booking/framing!
i like the convenience it brings me to print my photos at home and its options to print varieties of projects from photos to thank you cards. If i get pick. i would print most my experience in the military while i circle the world on my missions.
Well, compared to the printer I have now this one is a lot more compact and a lot cheaper! I like the fact that you print out different sizes of paper and I would love to win this to print off my pictures of my kids! That's mainly all the pictures I'm taking anyway!
Thanks for the great giveaway!

i like the quick printing
...the built-in memory, photo editing software, ability to print multiple sizes, and the flip up LCD screen are all great improvements on the A536; and you can't beat the price, 99 bucks.
I would like to print my own family photos using some of that neat editing software; it might come in handy for some work related projects as well.

This looks like a perfect little printer-I like that it prints as fast as 27 sec and that it is portable. Very cool!
I only buy HP products because I KNOW they are quality! I like that its compact because I have so much stuff on my desk already.
I have really been trying to get my scrapbooking together so I can focus on it and this photo printer would help me do just that.
The feature I like is that the copied pictures look just like the originals, making it hard to tell the difference. I would use this printer for copying photo shots of my grandchildren. thank you
I love the fact that it can be as fast as 27 seconds. I would print out recipes with pictures and all of the thousands of pictures I take of my little girl. Thanks so much for the opportunity.

I LOVE this! I love that it will print from memory cards and it will print so quickly! I would use this to print pictures of my twinsies and my four year old prince charming!
Thanks!
I love that this prints different sized photo's. I would use this mainly for printing digital pictures. We have a digital camera, but not a photo printer. Right now we bring them to our local drug store to have the digital photo's printed out. This would be a great help.
Thanks for this awesome giveaway.
I love that it has a GREAT dpi print out and that it prints fast. Much faster then my regular printer that is for sure.
I would print out the zillion pictures of my kids that are sitting on discs and on my hard drive waiting for me to upload them all to Walmart or CVS and have copies made. I would certainly be much quicker to print out picture immediatly if I had a great photo printer then I am when they pile up dozens (if not more) at a time on my hard drive and burned on CD's.
Thank you for an AWESOME prize give away!

I am most excited about the feature to print borderless. I already own two photo printers that will not print without a margin. Full-bleed printing produces far more professional looking pictures. I make cards all the time, so, having a printer that does what I want it to would be great.
speed speed speed baby! If I won this thing I'd probably have a stroke. You can print pics so much faster on this thing than my fossil of a printer!
I like that it prints in 27 seconds.

I would print pics of our almost 3 year old & our little on the way jellybean! :0)
I like that you can print them without a computer!
What I like best is that you don't have to have a computer to print your pics! So I could take this with me to a party and print pics for everyone right from my camera. Thanks!
The easy hook up is the best feature in my opinion because I am scared to hook anything up for fear of ruining it.I have had a new printer for months and haven't got it hooked up yet as everyone is so busy lately.
email: juju46@hotmail.com
the hp a536 is one sleek fast printer. I have to print invoices daily since I work from my home office and this is one sweet printer that would get the job done for me daily. I would love to have this printer as it is exactly what I need>
This printer would be great. I have never seen a portable printer. The 4X6 size would be no problem, because I need to print out lots of pictures to put in photo albums. That would be the two features that would be most important.
I love it's small size, yet fast printing. I have a very small desk/computer area so the size is important. But, I don't want to be waiting forever to print out all my snapshots of my beautiful babies! We just got back from Disney and I'd like to print out a lot of the photos I took for the scrapbook.
Wow this would be awesome to have for all my kids pictures. I have so many on my laptop I need to print off. Thanks for the chance!
Honestly, the memory slots are huge for me. I love being able to pull the card out of my camera and kick it right into the printer.
What would I print? Hmmm. Probably picture note-cards. I love sending thank you notes with a picture of my child holding the gift that we're thanking them for!
sahmtoo at gmail
I love that the A536 prints both 4x6's and 5x7's!
The A526 would be great for my in-laws. I was just out with my mother-in-law a couple weeks ago and she had to go in the store to crop a few pictures to put in her son's memorial garden. It would have been so nice if she could have just done that from her own printer. I'm sure she'd love to print pictures of the grandkids too! :)
khmorgan_00 [at] yahoo [dot] com
I like the fact that it's got card readers, so I can just pop my memory card in, and print away!
I'd print up pictures of my son, so I could send them off to relatives!

Happy Friday! For the A536, I like the speed and high dpi. The A526 would be so fun to win. Because of its' small size, I could take it with me. I could do photographs at the pool, family get-togethers and birthday parties. Baseball games would really be a blast of impromptu photos. Many thanks, Cindi

This is a fantastic printer! Nothing would be better than being able to print at home for all of the photos needed for those last minute school projects! Thanks for a great contest! I will email you my email address.
Love that it has it's own software so whatever computer I hook it up to, it will work. That's a great feature to have. I would probably use it the most to print out the pics I always promise to send people but never get around to actually doing it.
I like the idea that it prints out pictures from your digital camera. I'd print pictures of friends and family.
I like that the printer prints so quickly. I hate waiting for my pictures to print! I would print pictures of my son constantly!
momabr at yahoo dot com
I like the fact that it can print 4x12. It's a unique size and it would make eye catching cards - which is what i would use it for!
I am amazed by the different sized photos this printer can print. This would be perfect for my scrapbooking hobby. I would definitely print off lots of photos of my little girls with it. Thanks for this excellent giveaway!
I'd love to throw my hat in the ring for this one. I like the fact that you can print 5x7. I can only print 4x6 on my older HP model. I've got 3 kids so I've got to print lots of pix for me and the extended family =)
Thanks.

thanks for the giveaway. like the fact the cartridges are easy to find and affordable, another factor is the fast rpinting, you don't have to wait minutes for one, the quality looks awesome.
I teach and we use pics to make scrapbooks for the kids throughout the year and they take them home to show how they have grown and changed..its pretty cool.
i like that it only takes 27 sec to print a photo. I would mostly print pictures of my son and send it off to friends and family
I like the fact that it can print as fast as 27 sec. With all the pictures of my daughter I'll be printing it has to be fast! lol
I LOVE the versatility of this printer and how user-friendly it seems! I would definitely print A LOT of 5x7s! It seems that that's the size I always want to frame and hang in the house, but I just never seem to get around to ordering them online!
danalynne719[at]yahoo[dot]com
The built in internal memory sounds amazing. This would be an incredible tool fior me being handicapped. I don't have a vehicle and to be able to make my own pics at home would mean my Mum would actually get some photos of me and her grandaughter!
I added you to my RSS feed (bloglines) for an extra entry :)
danalynne719[at]yahoo[dot]com
I would be printing pictures of my nieces the most. They seem to be my only photography subjects.
I love that you can print in 27 seconds and all the size options as well.
Well, honestly all I'd care about is that it prints photos. But I see that the print speed is only 27 seconds! That's awesome!
I blogged here: http://mymommyology.blogspot.com/2008/07/printer-giveaway-7-dogs-baby.html
Very Nice, I really need this pick me :)
Tt's fast! Only 27 seconds to print a picture. Plus, it's not expensive at only $99.99.
it's a great all around printerand we would use it to print all our printing needs.
i like the printing features on the a526 and if i won i would print out sexy pictures for my sugarpie.
I would have to say the quality and speed are big deals to me. I also like the small size. I am a lover of photography and a scrapbooker, so I would use the printer to print my many photos so I can be a bit more behind on my scrapping! ;)

As fast as 27 seconds? No way. i'd have to see it to believe it. I would definately be printing some of the 400 pictures I have on my camera right now. I have to learn to stay on top of these things. If only i had a printer that would print them in under 30 seconds... Thanks for the great contest!
I like the fact that this printer has it's own internal memory and there's no software CD that needs to be installed. I also love all the different size print option, can't wait to win and see the quality.
I like that it's compatible with XP.
multiple picture sizes, borderless... what's not to like? i'd be printing baby pictures...
follow up comments will come back to me

My biggest thing is print quality. I resisted the digital revolution from the get go, since I studied black and white photography in college (developing your own pictures, film...remember film??). This looks great for a home printer...4800 x 1200 dpi!?!
I would print out travel photos and pictures of my two kiddos!
I love the print speed on this model. And sadly, we hardly ever remember to break out the camera unless its of our 15 month old, so I'm sure we would print pictures of him.
Thanks!
jennismith21 at gmail dot com
love the quality, speed and the fee software to download
I like the wireless option on the A536. If I won the A526, I would print out pictures of my sons taken at their various activities and give them to the family.

I have been wanting a photo printer forever! I like it can print as fast as 27 seconds. I usually get all my pictures through Shutterfly but this would save alot of time. I wouldn't have to wait a week for them to come in the mail!
the print speed and dpi is amazing- 5x7's too
this would be so great for pics of my grandaughter and my puppy
It would be great to print pictures off as fast as 27 seconds right from my home! Of course most of my pictures would be of my son Tristan.
Thanks!
well a lot of saved up digitals ready to print but the hp that i have is older and not a photosmart
I love the print speed and the compact size. I have so many pictures that I would print out if I win this! That is what I would use it for!

I like that it installs its own software! I would print even MORE pictures of my little granddaughter.
I love it's size! I would print out pictures of my doggie!

I guess I'm printer illiterate because I didn't understand what all the features were, but I did see that the printer was fast, has a whole lot of memory space and comes with a year warranty. I need this for prining my baby's photos. I haven't been able to develop them yet. Would love to do it myself!
and I blogged the giveaway here http://nowenteringmomville.blogspot.com/2008/07/theres-good-new-and-bad-news.html
I like the speed, it would be great to print out photos of my family so fast!
I like the many possibilities, and If I won I would go crazy printing pictures of my two divas...
The fact that it prints in color is the best feature for me. I work with students who cannot talk. So, I print out a lot of pictures for them to be able to use in order to express themselves to others. Color is a must!!
I print mostly mailling addresses, I would like to see longer lasting ink cartridges.
I print a Newsletter once a month for the residents of my housing complex. This would help get the job done!
I like that it is compatible to my Mac, and I would use it to print pictures of my baby girl.
I think it's awesome that it prints 4 x 12's. We take TONS of pics of our son and also do some hobby photography around town. It would be great to have a high tech photo printer like this to print out our best pics immediately from home!
I would use it for all of my printing needs.
My printer is so slow so, I would have to say the print speed would be awesome! I am a picture holic...I wonder if they have rehab for that?
I like the fact that you can print 5x7
THANK YOU GOD BLESS
