Around 6 months along is a good time, you can take some time to research the products and equipment you really need/want.
Maybe after you start telling people that you’re expecting, that way they will know what you need. My family and friends started buying me and my kids (I have 4) stuff almost right after I told them.
It is bad luck to recieve anything befor 4 months. But soon as you turn 4and a half i would register!
I think about 5 or 6 months is good timing. Your friends will probably tell you when the showers will be and you want to be registered before their invites go out. Check with friends that have had babies because you don’t need some things you may think you need and need tons more of others. Lots of diapers, onsies, receiving blankets. jammies, etc. Of course you probably want themed things for the nursery. Do your research and then register.
i was excited and started as soon as i knew i was pregnant. i went the day i was confirmed by a doctor and started a registry. way too soon we updated a zillion times too
You don’t want to do it too early because they update, and change things all the time. So if you are registered too soon, they might have either run out, or discontinued what you registered for.
I’d say between 6 and 7 months. That way if you find out the sex of the baby, you can put the appropriate gifts on there for a boy or girl. If its a girl, you may want a pink stoller and carseat. If its a boy, you might want boy themed nursey items…you just never know.
A lot of people in the begining say that they don’t want to know the sex of the baby, but as time goes on, a lot of people change there minds!
Good Luck!
