I have a dog who has seizures and I am trying to find a water proof bed for his kennel?

4

My dog has seizures but can’t take meds for it because he’s allergic to alot of things. He has one seizure per month on the average its worst when weather changes. I am trying to find him a dog bed that provide the protection he needs and also to make sure when does have an accident from his seizures that its easily to clean. I have had cloth beds before that are washable but the strong urine scent was always stuck into the fabric.

If he is not a chewer, I recommend getting a cheap human baby bed mattress – I did this for a Rottweiler which had seizures and defecated & urinated while having them, also. It worked out great. I bought 2-3 fitted sheets, which I could wash easily, and the waterproof mattress I would just wipe down.

Try http://www.jbpet.com, they are a wholesale company and have a wide variety of indoor and outdoor pet beds. I know that they have some that are waterproof, and pretty good prices.

You can use the product “Urine Be Gone” for the odors. I would go to a pet store, and explain the situation about your dog to them. They may be able to recommend a bed for him, or may be recommend a place where you can go to get one. Good Luck. That poor baby. Awwww………….

well i would put him down because having seizures can be very stressful on an animal . but what ever you want to do it is your choice
