My dog refuses to lay on her dog bed after sleeping on it for months. any idea why?

my springer spaniel has a nice dog bed at the edge of my bed. she used to sleep fine on it. recently, she has tried to sleep on my bed and when asked to get off she made it hard for us to move her. we had to drag her onto the dog bed. any idea why she is randomly scared to go onto her bed?

Is there any chance you dog is pregnant? If she is that might be why she has had a sudden change in behavior.

Could the dog have been sick or peed on the bed? that is all I can think of sorry

She probally want to be next to you or want your attention! That happened to me I hid dog treats in her bed during the day and she would go in it and eat them and then she started going back into her bed!

It doesn’t sound like she is scared of her bed, it sounds like you let her come on your bed and now she would rather sleep there.

She just wants to upgrade LOL. Look if she needs to curl up when sleeping on her bed. If she does it, then maybe its too small for her. She may need a larger dog bed to stretch out. You can also buy a thermal blanket for her bed… pets love them. Once you let her sleep on your big bed she wont go back to what she had, so better stop her from doing it.
