My dachshund does the exact smae thing! I lie down on the floor, throw a toy, and then eventually he’ll bring it back and we play tug! Our doxies look a lot alike.Dachshunds rule! Thanks for sharing!!!! Oh! They growl the same way too.
my dog growls while you have his toy and he will never give it back once he has it. While he’s growling you have to laugh because we know just how gentle our dachshund is…the cats beat him up.
Dachshunds are a stubborn breed. They won’t give up their toys and they are very difficult to teach tricks. And we love them to bits none the less! ^^

thats wat mine does i throw it and then he walks up to me with it wagging his tail and then when i reach down for the toy he picks it up and runs across the yard!!

Yeah he got fat for a while. Then he went down, paralyzed. Had surgery, rehab, is walking again….and has lost significant weight. He’s the biggest loser!
that’s how my doxie plays, he’ll bring you the toy, but you aren’t getting it from him : )
