Is it normall for a dog to pee in a new dog bed when you first get the bed?
My Boston Terrier just pied on a new bed that I got him today. Hes about 11 mounts old. I’m not sure if its natural in some dogs or if its just him.

no
Yes it is dogs mark their territory.
If hes not neutered then yea its really normal.
Not unusual. Dog thought process: “What is this? Is this mine? This doesn’t smell like it’s mine. What can I do to make this smell like it’s mine?”
NO. A dog is smart enough to know he never craps where he sleeps. And that applys to peeing too.
Some dogs do this to “mark their territory”. He’s saying that this is his bed and no other dogs are allowed near it. He should stop after a while.
It isn’t good. It probably smelled like another dog and I am guessing your dog is a male? You should try washing the bed and hope it was a one time thing. Just your dog trying to cover another dogs scent I am hoping. Did you purchase it from a store that allows people to bring their pets with them? That could account for your dogs behavior and would give me less concern of this continuing. It is not good if your dog just pees any place to leave it’s scent. I think you can agree with that.
its normal when u get a dog.. a new bed and he scrathes the heak out of it lol
but not when u get a new bed and he just ends of peeing in it
Yep, making it known that it’s his.
yes
He might be just marking it as “his” this is not unusual on new objects. We foster a lot of animals and have over the years and see this a lot in male dogs. They normally do it once and even if it washed they don’t do again. Be stern that it is not good.. “Bad dog, no”.. don’t rub his nose just pint and be firm. It should not be an issue. So to sum it up yes this is natural for a dog to do.. Cat do the same thing most of the time you just don’t see them, they will spray but cat spray is not as wet usually so you don’t see it but they do it so others know it is theirs.

Yeah its perfectly natural for a dog to pee on his stuff to mark his territory, if he didn’t pee it would not be normal, because all dogs do it to ensure that they smell whats rightfully theirs, its all about territory and making other dogs know that its his stuff.
People above have already pretty much said it all, but I might just add that it also depends on whether or not he realizes it’s a bed yet. If he’s sleeping on it consistently, then he won’t do that (or shouldn’t) because dogs don’t pee where they sleep. Same thing goes if the bed is in his crate (if he has one).
