How do i make my dog chew the toy i bought him?

My pitbull puppy loves to chew! he loves to chew EVERYTHING except for the dog toy that i bought him. its a durable rubber toy but everytime i put it in front of him or anything he wont chew it he just looks at it and walks away someone please help me!!!

    if it has any holes or openings put smooth peanut butter in it

    Ok, get the dog’s food scent on the toy. Next let your dog sniff the toy, if he bites it, your in luck! If not, te tease your dog with it, and see if it works. If not, buy better toys.

    Try putting food on it like peanut butter or something. Also try and get him really excited and and energetic then throw it. See if he goes after it.

    well i deal with pitbulls and what i know so far is i love to chew on a lot of stuff! i get my pitbull pig ears and she loves them i know it sounds gross but its good for them and their teeth 2 so there is ur answer but anyway good luck with finding ur answer

    Rub some meat on it or some other food. The toy should attract his smell and he should chew it. Also, make sure it isn’t too big for him. Puppies seem to prefer to chew things like stuffed animals or dog ropes over rubber toys. Also you need to punish him when he chews other things and reward him for chewing on his toys. If you catch him chewing something “out of bounds” stick something a little bitter or spicy in his mouth. With my dogs I used very mild hot sauce. Believe me, they quit biting and chewing VERY quickly.
