What is the perfect dog bed?
I am looking for a good quality dog bed for a reasonable price (preferably under $70). My dog is a 65 pound hound shepherd mix and she is 9 months old. She shouldn’t be getting too much bigger. Does anyone have dogs this size or bigger that has found a great dog bed?

My shepherd found one she loves, it’s mine! I bought one of those large pillows that is kind of flat, not fluffy in the middle. She slept on it for 2 nights and decided she preferred the floor or my bed. Your dog would probably be happy with a large blanket folded for her (easier to wash) and if it has your scent on it she’ll be even happier!
There is no “perfect dog bed” Yoshi!
My dogs are 58#, 95# and 109# and they all prefer to sleep on the floor.
So, what’s the right bed for your dog is whatever appeals to YOUR DOG… there isn’t any ONE bed that’s “just perfect” -!-
Your dog is probably getting use to you and your place in the house by now…she probably loves you a great deal too so she would probably love to have a bed that has your sent on it. Lots of dogs like to lay on their owners clothing or something that smells like their owner at least that is what I have found so if you have an old blanket or something that might smell like you make her a bed I am sure she would be much happier with that then an expensive bed from Costco or anyplace else you might find one. However if you really want a bed for her you might try craigslist.com to get one for cheaper.
Wow, that sounds amazing. Have you tried looking in Pets at home, they sell all kinds of stuff, but i don’t know how much it is there. Some places like Argos sell dog beds as well i think.

I have sewn a few floor pads for my dogs,I doubled up on the cotton batting,sewn like a big pillow,then i stitched in rectangle all around the floor mats,they are so easy to wash,the batting doesn’t move when being washed,and they love them,it shocked me when they liked them
they sell the batting in walmart huge roll,its for quittting,I have maltese so i didn’t need huge mats just comfy ones tad softer then the hardwood
I was going to say the Costco Kirkland Signature beds as well. Ours was $20 and its the best bed we have ever gotten him. I just tried to look it up and can’t find it on Costco.com I really hope they didn’t discontinue!!

I wouldn’t pay a lot for one until you know for sure that your dog will sleep in it. I bought 2 for my Sheltie, one for the house and one for the back seat of my car. They are now being used as a toy box since she will not have anything to do with them. Maybe try putting down a blanket or something first to see if your pup will lay on it.
added: ooops, sorry…I forgot to actually answer your question. The first one I bought was about $30.00 at pet smart, the second one was bigger and was about $80.00 also from pet smart. You can also find them at Target or Walmart. If you lived close to me I would give you the big one, it is taking up space in my closet….lol
