power vomit….ROFL
when my kids were little, we did the binky (pacifier), blanket, and a stuffed animal from the time they were wanting to grab onto something more than the blanket.
so when the pacifier went away, they had the other two, but they then bonded more to the stuffed toy than the blanket. My 7yr old still loves sleeping with his koala bear.
My other two don’t have loveys anymore (even the 4yr old)… but all 3 will not sleep without a blanket… they just never got bonded to only one blanket.
Obviously each kid is different, but there are easy ways to prevent the Linus syndrome.
Leave the blanket in the bed… keep the one that you take with you for naps out and about in the diaper bag
Give the kid another item when putting baby to sleep in addition to the blanket… a stuffed animal is a great one
don’t give the same blanket… whether it’s just a different color or a totally different blanket, this can help keep from bonding to a specific one.
Even so, it doesn’t last forever.
Glad you enjoyed. Water is the only thing for the cup. May cause some problems, but you won’t really know till you get there. You could start putting less and less water in the cup to wean him off.
This episode made me laugh. My son likes to sleep with his cars AND books, along with his blanket and about 10 stuffed Dr. Seuss animals and his “cuppie”.
I’m not to sure letting him sleep with water to drink is a good idea, though. Any thought on letting your kids sleep with a drink? We tell him water only at night, so I’m not worried about ruining his teeth. I’m more concerned with potty training, as he getting to that age.
My son had a puffy quilt, his baby blanket he really liked. He never had to carry it with him when we went to places. Now he likes his stuffed animals. His favorite is a stuffed Fox named Foxy. lol
My longjohns are my business.
Hahaha…. “You’re a good looking man and all…” Classic!
