3rd baby, all girls, what gift to give?

9

A friend of mine just had a baby girl. It’s her 3rd child, and all 3 are girls. Her two older children are ages 4 and 1.5. She has plenty of clothes. She also has pretty much all the baby gear needed.

I have no idea what to give her as a gift. I figure something that the baby wouldn’t already be getting as a hand-me-down.

Any ideas? My hubby says a piggy bank, but I don’t know. My budget is about $30 or so.

Thanks.

How about a personalized blanket. The baby should have something special that isn’t a hand me down.

Every baby needs diapers, and they are always appreciated. One less thing for mom to go out and buy.

Diapers are always a safe bet.

Of you could get a photo album and some disposable camera’s.

Here’s a list of things I have recieved as baby gifts that I really loved (especially for my second boy)

    piggy bank full of money
gift card for toys r us or walmart
money towards the child’s education fund or just money in a card
a basket with diapers, wipes, faceclothes

Avoid clothes, picture frames, stuffed animals and toys they likely have tons. Some people feel that it’s nice to give clothes so the baby has something new, well the baby doesn’t know the difference and they likely already have tons of clothes.

How about something for your friend. You say she has all the baby stuff she needs, don’t new moms need a little babying too?

  7. mother of twins says:

DIAPERS!!! That is something they will need. Diapers, wipes, soap, lotion. I know those are gifts that are always appreciated. You can also do a gift card, formula (if you know what kind she uses). You could always split the money between mom & baby. Mom needs pampering too!

Ihad the ame thing happen to me, I just had my third girl as well, but I found Diapers were very handy, even more so that she has a 1 1/2 year old who is probably still in diapers, so extra diapers for the new baby might be helpful. Also maybe a gift set with baby shampoo and lotion and a few extras in it, or maybe even a gift for her instead, and if you are still unsure go for a gift card, that way she can go and get whatever it is that she wants, well good luck.
