First time crip and stoller buyer, anyone have any suggestions? I am looking at a chico stoller and car seat?
Thanks. I am a first time mom too. Any other suggestions regarding baby gear would be helpful as well.

I am in the same boat and was just registering for this stuff too. I went to consumer reports and researched the top 3 kinds of travel systems and convertible car seats and read a ton of reviews on them. Here is the list from consumer reports of the top rated.

I have the Chicco Keyfit 30 car seat for my 6 month old and I have been fairly satisfied with it. I bought it because it was one of the top rated seats on consumer reports as well as one of the safest. The seat tends to make my baby sweat and is heavy compared to others. It does not fit as well on shopping carts as other seats do, but I make it work. The main advice I can give you is to get the stroller (Cortina or trevi) that the car seat can fit on. I did not buy either one and just went with a separate lightweight stroller. There have been many times that he fell asleep in his car seat when we were going to a place that I had to use the stroller (no shopping carts ex:mall) and I hate waking him up just to take him out.
