Baby registry question?
I have been trying to make a baby registry for a few weeks now and I just dont know what to do now. There are three places that I love for all different reasons (walmart, target, babies r us). Walmart has VERY low prices compared to the other two (sometimes more than $20 difference in items which can really add up) and they are more accessible to all my guests compared to the other two stores. Also, they have some of the baby gear patterns I want for some things. On the other hand, I registered online and only about half is available in LOCAL stores, although they do offer free shipping, Im afraid older guests will not have access to order online. Target has a few other baby gear patterns I want for other things, and also they have a pretty wide selection. On the other hand, they are quite pricey and again, some of the things I need are online only. Babies r us has EVERYTHING! Everything that I cannot get at the other two, Babies r us seems to have available BUT they are VERY pricey
and they do not have any of the gear patterns I want for my swing, travel system, high chair, play yard, ect. Also, there is only one in my area and some of my guests do not live near it. Im not sure which one or maybe two to go with. I want to use all three for different things but Im not sure if thats TOO MUCH. What do you think? And, if I were to use 2 or 3 places, should I put all the things I need for BOTH places, even if that means I get doubles becuase my guests will have more to choose from, or do I just put each thing on one place? Please help!! Thanks!
Get out there and have fun with the registery!! Don’t worry too much about who has what for what price, these people are showing your baby with gifts. When I registered at Babies R Us, they told me if the gift that was bought for our baby was at Target, the registery could be updated to reflect the gift had been bought, online. There are ways around double purchases, etc… If anything, those who may have a computer can print off your registery at Target and shop at Wal-Mart with it. Those without a computer can print up at one store, then take it to another… there are so many ways around it. Don’t worry too much and enjoy the showers and the gifts your baby will receive. This is the FUN part of pregnancy!!
i would not be to worried about the price cause its your baby shower. i would get and register at all three. but put some specific things that you need from each store. and some people might be able to go online that dont live close and get some of the things that you need. you would be suprised at what people will do to get things that they know will help with the baby. also i would make sure that you have when your planning it dont like i said before dont be worried about the prices cause the prices dont mean nothing when it comes to the safety and care for you and baby. so just go out and have fun. good luck and congrats on baby.
I just had my baby shower, and I can tell you that most of the time if items are “online only” then guests won’t buy them. This is because many people shop very close to the day of the shower and don’t want to order things that may or may not arrive in time.
I highly suggest registering for the bulk of your items at Babies R Us. They have the best return policy and, even though some items may be pricier, they offer coupons pretty frequently. Use Target or Walmart for your gear patterns and a few other items. Just make sure to register for items in various price ranges.

In my personal opinion I would go to the store and register as apposed to doing it online. Online has a much wider selection but most people won’t shop online cause they don’t allow themselves enough time to receive it. I only registered at babies r us but I wish that I had registered at another place. There aren’t that many babies r us that are very close and people went and bought gifts that i didn’t care for. The walmart in my area was more expensive for certain items. My suggestion is to pick two and register for the items at both places. If you get doubles you can always return it or give it to your parents. I prefer babies r us and target
