How to put a baby diaper on a dog — Lucy’s first heat

6

Lucy, my toy poodle, just started her very first heat and needs a diaper. I’m using Pampers newborn size for her. I taped one side, place one leg in the opening, slip her tail in through the hole I made, adjust her diaper and then tape up the other side. This is her second day of using diapers and I think she prefers wearing it than having to constantly clean herself.

@dogcatloverforever thank you for letting me know because I have a female chihuahua and I don’t know when she is going to have her first heat now I have an idea thank you, my chihuahua is 8 months old and so far no heat yet

@dogcatloverforever — She was about 13 months old

How old was your dog when she got her first heat?

I used them mostly for when she was in heat. I tried one on my male poodle and it didn’t help at all with his potty training. I have a friend who has a Papillon …it’s a very good dog, friendly and well trained! :)

never mind about what i just commented, but do u think this technique could be used on a papillon? what do u think about those dogs? do u think they are great pets and are easy to take care of?

wait, u can use human baby diapers on dogs? if u can, that’s great because i’m not sure if they provide doggie diapers in my country! ;)
