@nicx788 Jessie’s mom was a Shepherd Mix and dad was likely a miniature pinscher. She’s 30 lbs and has the lighter build of a Begian Malinois.

Hey thanks…I tried making one and my dogs are actually having fun with it… instead of a donut, it came out looking like a ball, but they enjoy playing fetch regardless!

alright, thats cool, I know I get some rope and not the 2 ends, and my dog LOVES it, I also used an old sock, and I put fluff in it and packed it in tightley, than I knotted the end of the sock, and then I have a nice squishy toy for my dog, … when my dog is bored, I use that rope toy, and I use a close pin, and pin in to my close line, than I push it out, and my dog chases it, and when the dog jumps uyp to grab it, in releases :D I do this alot

These are great ideas! A trick I do is to tie a knot in any old piece of clothing that will become a toy. Ex)tie a knot in one old sock, then stuff it inside another and knot on the outside one. When your dog pulls out the inside one, he’ll know it’s his.

My dogs sit on the bed as I sort socks on laundry day and get very excited when they see me knotting one up!

Your might want to try this on your hand towel, even if you just slice a strip up part way and tie a knot in just that part.

this is so great. I turned an old jumprope that I don’t use and made a bunch of knots in it, and my pups love them! also, I designated one very small hand wash towel that is flourescent green and safe as their personal towel to play with. how am i doing?

We are not sure as she was a dog pound rescue.
From her behavior, and the fact that they are super common locally, I’d say she has 50% Miniature Pincher (think terrier ratter type) and the other half is likely a mix of at least two other large breeds (maybe German Shepherd, cattledog (heeler), whippet or border collie). She is generally a calm dog that runs like the wind when she wants to and has some cute quirky behaviors like jumping like a fox and ‘talking’ while watching television. 30lbs
