Treadmill Pit Bull Rave
Fun video of Violet walking on the treadmill! This was taken of her as she was learning to use the treadmill, which is why she has her leash and collar on. Her collar is one of a kind and is made from a discarded leather belt and was purchased from www.Etsy.com. @StylishlyUnemployed – Violet learned the treadmill quickly, but we had her trainer get her started. You may want to talk to your vet to make sure it is ok first.
Good looking pup! I recently acquired my new pup(second pit) and have been thinking about using this method for winter. I live in Ohio and the winters here get pretty cold/foot or more of snow. Was it easy for your dog to learn to use the mill? My older pup has had full obedience training and learns things remarkably fast, the pup is only 8 weeks so not sure of his abilities yet.
@topbluffa1 – We were training her to walk on the treadmill and was under supervision.
i dont see the point of the leash surely falling back and getting throttled is more dangerous than falling off.

I had my dog trained by a professional to get her started on the treadmill and now she will actually walk on it without a leash.
Im thinking about doing this with my shih tzu. Its to much trouble taking him out in the snow, he always comes back with ice cycles in his fur.
